Jamil Swati is an alternative asset investor with over twenty years of experience in private equity, private credit, special situations, distressed assets, and value recovery. He has deployed capital throughout the capital structure, across various industries, and in both developed and emerging markets. Mr. Swati’s experience spans both private and public markets, providing unique perspectives on value and risk.

Mr. Swati has worked closely with numerous business founders, investors, lenders, C-suite executives, and board members. His areas of expertise include strategy, growth, funding, capital structure optimization, governance, reporting, restructuring and M&A. 

Mr. Swati is the Founder of Narva LLC, a private vehicle for opportunistic investments and advisory services. Previously he co-founded Threshold Asset Management to convert residential home equity into an investable long-term real asset. Earlier, Mr. Swati led special situations and capital markets investing at Graticule Asset Management, an affiliate of Fortress Investment Group. Prior to Graticule, he co-founded Tenbrook Management LLC, a distressed asset recovery firm established in the wake of the 2008 financial crisis. Earlier, Mr. Swati served as Co-Head of Fortress Investment Group’s EM Illiquid Corporate Investments business. Prior to Fortress, he was a Portfolio Manager at Aeneas Capital Management LP, where he focused on frontier markets and special situations. Before Aeneas, Mr. Swati worked in the Mergers & Acquisitions Department of Goldman, Sachs & Co. where he executed transactions in the automotive, industrial, defense, and food sectors.

Mr. Swati has served on the Board of Directors of Amerigen Pharmaceuticals, Caspian Offshore Construction Realty, and Fogo de Chao Holdings; as Advisory Partner at Grenian Water; as Senior Advisor to Arena Investors LP; as Special Advisor to Phi Capital; as Special Advisor to 14th Gate Management; as Special Advisor to Wasl Investment Finance; and on the Advisory Boards of Southern Bridge Capital and GP Investments. He also a member of the Board of Trustees of The Indian Mountain School in Lakeville, Connecticut.

Mr. Swati received a BS in Electrical Engineering from Northwestern University and an MBA in Finance from The University of Chicago.
